At Basic Trailers, we are committed to meeting the needs of our busy, hard-working customers and providing first rate service. This is why we have now made it quick and convenient to buy a trailer online.
Whether you are looking for a box trailer, tradie tailer or car trailer, or want something a little more unusual from our special trailer range, our online trailer buying process makes it straightforward to get the trailer you need, and to customise it with a range of add-on features (including increased ATM).
Follow the steps below to buy a new trailer or get in touch on 1300 770 770 and a member of our friendly sales team will be happy to help.
Step 1: Select Your Trailer
Begin by visiting the Trailer Range page on our website, where you can see the different types of trailer we currently have available.
Whether you require a box trailer, car trailer, flat top trailer or tipper trailer, it is quick and easy to browse through all the different categories and find the right trailer for your specific needs.
Each category page shows the various sizes and configurations of each trailer type, such as single axle, tandem axle or heavy-duty models.
Click on the type of trailer that best suits your needs, and then the particular dimensions and axle configuration of the trailer you want.
Step 2: Review Trailer Specifications
Once you've selected your trailer, you’ll be directed to a dedicated page for that type and size of trailer.
On the left-hand side of the page, under the trailer image, you’ll find the Specifications tab. This provides a comprehensive list of materials and components used in the trailer’s construction, such as chassis dimensions, drawbar design, flooring, suspension and axles.
The Accessories tab outlines additional features that come as standard, including mudflaps, lights, safety chains and more.
Step 3: Choose Upgrades and Accessories
On the right-hand side of the page, alongside the picture of the trailer, you’ll see a selection of optional upgrades and accessories that can be added to your trailer.
These include registration, electric brakes, tie-down points, jerry can holders and much, much more. You can even upgrade the trailer’s ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) or convert a tandem axle trailer into a tri-axle model.
To add an upgrade, simply tick the checkbox next to the desired feature.
As you do this, the total price will automatically update, giving you an instant overview of your new trailer's cost, including any selected customisations.
Step 4: Get a Free, No-Obligation Quote
Once you've added all the required accessories you require on your trailer, you have two options:
- Add to Cart: Proceed to purchase your trailer online.
- Print Quote: If you’d like to take more time before committing, click the Print Quote button. After providing your contact details, you'll be able to download a detailed quote, which includes all the chosen upgrades and accessories. A copy will also be emailed to you, and the quoted price will remain valid for 30 days.
For those unable to visit our Pooraka trailer workshop in person, ordering online is the next best option. As you can see, it’s a simple and efficient process.
How Much Does a New Trailer Cost?
One of the key benefits of purchasing a new trailer from Basic Trailers, whether online or in person, is transparency in pricing.
You'll always know the exact cost upfront. This feature is particularly valuable for customers who are busy on job sites, live in regional areas of South Australia, or need to place an order outside of regular business hours.
Our website clearly shows the both the standard trailer cost as well as the individual cost of any optional upgrade, ensuring you are fully informed about any additional charges.
This transparent pricing approach is highly appreciated by our customers, as there are no hidden fees or unexpected costs when it comes time to finalise your purchase. Additionally, you’ll have a clear idea of what accessories and features your trailer will come with.
Easy Payment Options with Trailer Pay and Humm90
Basic Trailers can offer two different flexible payment options:
- Trailer Pay allows you to tow now and pay later. A minimal deposit is required, followed by affordable weekly payments over a set period of time.
- Humm90 offers fast approvals, long-term repayments, and no establishment fee is required.
