Basic Trailers is a rapidly expanding Adelaide business with a reputation built on high quality workmanship at every stage of the trailer construction process. This means we are always looking for experienced and skilled welders, boilermakers and tradesmen to join the team at our Pooraka workshop.

Our current vacancies are listed below; however, the number and nature of the positions we have available is constantly changing and so not all vacancies will necessarily be shown.

Common Workshop Roles

• Trailer Welder / Fabricator

For experienced tradespeople skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, and trailer production.

• Fabrication & Production Assistant (Apprentice / Entry-Level)

Ideal for those starting their career or looking to enter the trailer manufacturing industry. Includes hands-on training in fabrication basics, assembly, trailer flipping, safety procedures, and stock handling.

• Fabrication & Production Assistant (Experienced / Paint Prep)

For applicants with previous workshop experience in areas like paint preparation, axle welding, trailer assembly, or brake press folding. Must be comfortable with standard workshop practices and quality control.

• Assembly Technician

Focused on trailer assembly and mechanical installation, following standardised work procedures and guides.

• Forklift Driver & Yard Hand

Involves safe trailer movement, loading/unloading, stock placement, and general yard duties. High-risk work licence required or in progress.

Common Office-Based Roles

• Office Administrator

Customer service, data entry, internal systems, and workflow support.

• Digital & Business Support Coordinator

Marketing coordination, content updates, branding, and CRM usage.

• HR & Administration Officer

Recruitment, onboarding, compliance tracking, training coordination, and general HR support.

• Draftsperson

CAD-based design, technical drawing development, and manufacturing documentation.

Sales & Customer-Facing Roles

• Salesperson

Inbound/outbound customer support, trailer sales, upselling, and follow-up strategies.

Working Hours:

Varies depending on role. Typical workshop hours are between 7:00am – 3:30pm, and office hours between 7:00am – 5:00pm.
