What Upgrades Can You Make to a Car Trailer?

Car Trailers

Car trailers come in a range of shapes and sizes, and at Basic Trailers we design and manufacture a selection of different car trailers to suit a wide variety of needs.

In addition, we are able to offer a range of car trailer upgrades that mean you can further customise your trailer so that it is able to perform precisely how you need it to.

Our car trailer Adelaide range

All of our car trailers are designed and manufactured in-house at our Adelaide workshop at Pooraka using 100% Australian steel and locally sourced components.

Beavertail car trailers

Beavertail car trailers are designed with a sloping rear section that means it is lower than the front section. This makes it easier to load cars and plant, or any kind of equipment that has low ground clearance. There are two sliding ramps that are stored in the trailer floor and can be easily attached and detached when required. Loading and unloading vehicles can also be made easier with the addition of an electric winch.

We design and manufacture a variety of beavertail car trailers, including both flat top, full floor and open floor models.

The side and front tie rails on our Adelaide flat top trailers are located below the deck so that the trailer surface remains entirely flat, giving them greater flexibility in terms of the type of lands that can be carried. They also have a beavertail, so that vehicles and machinery can be loaded and unloaded more safely and quickly.

Rear ramps, which are stored in the body of the trailer, are fitted as standard, while flush floor tie points and a heavy duty or electric winch can also be added to assist in the loading and transporting of all types of equipment.

This means that no physical effort is required to raise or lower the deck, enhancing operating safety, and no ramps are required.

Hydraulic tilt car trailers are convenient, safe and versatile, and available in both tandem and tri-axle models. The ATM can be upgraded to 2,800kg, 3,200 kg, 3,500 kg or 4,500 kg as required.
